Abbott is certified a “Top Employer” for 2009

For the third year in a row, Abbott was certified a Top Employer in Germany for 2009 by the Corporate Research Foundation and the magazine Junge Karriere. Candidates for the program are evaluated after having completed a comprehensive questionnaire about market leadership and image, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, job security, career development opportunities, and company culture.

Excellent marks for job security and culture

In 2009, 105 companies of all sizes from different industries qualified for the honour presented by the Corporate Research Foundation and the magazine Junge Karriere. For Abbott, the award means more than confirming past and current achievements. It is also an important element of our recruiting efforts. In today’s war for the best university graduates, managers and experts, the “Top Employer” certification can tip the scales in Abbott’s favour. Moreover, an independent evaluation expresses our quality as an employer.

The study’s evaluation is based on a comprehensive questionnaire about compensation, market position, work-life balance, job security, training and development opportunities, and company culture. Overall, Abbott received 4.3 points out of five, which is an excellent result. In the categories job security and company culture, Abbott received the highest possible score: 5.0.
