Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the APOC (Abbott Point of Care) relationship with all stakeholders
  • Manage the strategic sales process, collaborate with other team members when appropriate
  • Responsible for providing effective, appropriate and timely written and verbal communication to customers
  • Alliance Partner personnel, APOC management and other Abbott personnel as indicated
  • Manage pricing within preset limits and provide feedback on competitive products and market pricing
  • Responsible for producing and achieving annual territory operating plan
  • Responsible for maintaining profitability
  • Maintain suitable knowledge of the relevant healthcare markets and current i-STAT products and product areas
  • In conjunction with line managers define and communicate strategy and goals to distribution partners

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant successful healthcare sales experience e. g. Medical Products, Medical Devices, IVDs and Disposables
  • History of progressively senior sales roles in healthcare
  • Experience of managing sales through and with other people
  • Experience of multi-stakeholder strategic sales
  • Degree level education
  • Proven ability to engage clinicians and or clinical end users into discussion regarding product benefits and utilisation
  • Willing and able to travel across both existing territory, but also throughout Europe and rest of world as appropriate
  • Able to work as part of the European peer group to provide input on EMEA strategy
  • Well organized with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to adjust and re-adjust priorities without confusion
  • Excellent communication skills and be equally at ease in one to one situations as well as group presentations and negotiations at the most senior levels within a healthcare establishment
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare provision in territory
  • Good PC skills and a working knowledge of MS-Office products
  • Competent in local language and having a good command of both written and spoken English
